chkdsk/f unable to fix volume bitmap errors

Further to my earlier post...I would like to inform anyone sufferring the
above problem, to seek help.

I am having to replace my hard drive completely.

I was told by just about every organisation that 'it was nothing to worry
about'. This is to say the problem does degrade (as I have discovered
now!) and can cause serious problems with your hard drive.
