Choosing File Types

We recently updated one dept. to office 2003 from Office XP.
we need to recreate a file assiciation, however when you choose file types
and then Change, the new office applications are not populated in the list.
Is there a way to force applications to appear?

To Change the file association try the following
Right Click the file you want to change | select Opens With | Choose
Program and check the box "Always use the select program to open this kind
of file."

When i say Choose Program, that is where the applications are not populated.

Are you using Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options | File Types Tab ?
After selecting the File Type click change then if the program is not in the
list click browse then navigate to the folder containing the Application you
wish to associate the File Type with and the program will appear in the
list.
