Choosing NOT to acknowledge read-receipts

I've searched and found many results on how to request and respond to
requests for read receipts (Disposition-Notification-To) in Entourage.
What I'm unable to find is how to PREVENT Entourage from responding to
requests for read receipts.

Does anyone know how to turn off this behavior in Entourage? Could you
share this information or point me to the appropriate documentation?

Entourage on it's own doesn't respond to DNR requests - you need to set up a
combination of rules and scripts to make it do so (see details in my blog
post " Returns Receipts" -

I suspect you are probably using Entourage with an exchange server -
Exchange will respond to DNR requests when the mail is delivered and/or
displayed (depends how exchange is configured). For some configurations of
exchange you _cannot_ disable this response.
