CiceroUIWndframe

B

Brian

Anyone help with this one? Everything has been working fine for years now,
until this last weekend. I can ONLY get to outlook express on the first try
after a reboot. If I attempt to close outlook, it drops into the system tray
on the taskbar.

If I attempt to open again...nothing. If I attempt to open from tray, I get
the warning bubble that mentions something about connecting to a server,
blah, blah. The ONLY way to open Outlook is to reboot the computer, and when
I do this I get a "ciceroUIWndframe" message with an "end now" button that I
have to press to reboot.

My Winfax Pro 10.02 is fairly similar, I cannot close it and restart without
rebooting. Both these programs have co-existed on my system for a couple of
years now with no problem. I tried internet google search and disabled my
Office voice and handwriting recognition in the settings and tried to
download Microsoft Data Access... but the download had an error pertaining to
an incorrect version of software.

Please help.

Do things work correctly when you start Outlook in safe mode? Start-> Run;
"path to Outlook.exe" /safe

Outlook not closing correctly is most likely being caused by your WinFax
add-in. I'm not sure if 10.02 is the latest release and if there are updates
available yet.

Hi Roady,

You were close... I found another post somewhere on the internet explaining
that Winfax and Outlook don't like each other and suggested going (in
outlook) to Tools --> options --> mail setup --> data files. There was
something there with Winfax in file name which they suggested I delete.

I did so and we're back to both programs working just fine, as they have
together for the last couple of years. I suspect it was due to an
auto-update of MS Office. Thanks for your help.
