Help....everytime I check for new mail or close Outlook I get the following
message: CiceroUIWndFrame Outlook.Exe unable to locate component WINHTTP.dll.
If there is a kind soul out there who knows how to fix this, please let me. I
have tried re-installing Outlook and this has not helped. I'm working with
Outlook 2003 and have Windows XP Professional.

It is possible that an add-in has been uninstalled from your computer.
Did you get any other message after clicking OK to continue? If you did,
make note of the program name and do the following:

In Outlook, go to Tools, Options, Others, Advanced Options and check under
Add-in Manager and COM Add-Ins for the program that was display or something
you have uninstalled. If you see it, uncheck it. This may resolve your
problem.

I'm having the exact same problem using the same Outlook 2003 and Windows XP
Professional. It appeared for the first time after I changed my hard drive
and had to reload all my programs. I tried the suggestions below but it has
not stopped the "unable to locate WINHTTP.dll" message from constantly
popping up. Any other ideas?

Hi Cathy and Emma

I'm still having problems, mine happened when I downloaded an update from
Microsoft for Outlook 2003. Could it be a security thing?

I am having identical probem. I installed outlook as part of office 2003 on
two computers. On one I did the "service pack 2" update which downloaded 4
downloads. This computer has the problem - can't find winhttp.dll file.
After multiple ok clicks it goes away only to reappear later. On the other
computer I installed everything the same, only the service pack download
aborted because of a problem, so it wasn't completely installed. This
computer does not have the problem. I am considering removing office from
the one with the problem and re-installing without downloading updates but
don't know what I am missing without the updates.

Anyone had any resolution to this problem?
