circular reference

I want to add one cell's value to an existing cell value, like C2 = C2 + E2,
but keep getting circular reference warning. Can this be done? Like I have
1000 in C2 and 200 in E2, then I enter 200 again to E2, so I would want
C2's value to change to 1200. (Added an additional 200.)

The reason you're getting the warning is that you *are* inserting a
circular reference. What you're asking for is sometimes called an
accumulator. See
