Citation Manager locks up

I'm using Office 2008 for Mac. I used the Cite manager successfully for a while.
The last couple of times I tried to use it, it would not change from "Article in a Periodical" - Though once when I tried Document on Web site, the grey box changed shape, but the fields didn't change at all. And everything locked up. Cancel didn't work. Attempts to Force Quit didn't work. I had to power down to get out.

I have only about 6 citations in the entire manager - so I don't think I've overloaded it.

The Autoupdate manager says there are no updates for Word 2008.

Any ideas?

Hi njsmith,
I'd like to get a bit more information about this problem if possible:
1. Does it happen consistently?
2. Does it occur with a particular document? If so, could you forward me the
doc?
3. Are you creating a new citation or editing a citation?
4. Are you switching from/to a particular citation type or is it any that is
problematic?
5. An exact set of steps that reproduces this, if known.
6. Machine specs

Some potential remedies:
1. Move the Sources.xml file in ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data to a new
location. (don't delete it since it contains all of the citations you have
created). If this helps, please send me this file.
2. Try deleting or moving your Normal template. ~/Library/Application
Support/Microsoft/User Templates. Again, if this helps please send me this
file.

The fact that you had to power down indicates the cause to be more of a
systemic problem. Word shouldn't be able to crash the OS (keyword:
"Shouldn't") ;-)

My e-mail is below.

Thanks for the help, and sorry for the trouble.
