We are trying to use Citrix Metaframe to run both Project Pro 2002 and
Server 2002. Have gotten past the hurdles of the Active X controls and
security permissions (all set appropriately for trusted site). Have
installed most recent version of IE and MDAC (2.8)on the Metaframe box.
We had MDAC 2.7 installed but it still didn't work, so we decided to
install MDAC 2.8 to see if that made a difference -- it didn't. I
believe that the Server box has MDAC 2.7 installed.
We can successfully checkout a project and re-publish that project from
Metaframe. We can logon to Project Server from Metaframe(using network
logon)and we can access Issues and Documents, but clicking on Tasks,
Project, Resources, and Updates results in the dreaded "error on page"
and "loading data" situation that never recovers. Project Server and
the Citrix Metaframe are on the same domain. Our Project Server box is
also running Sharepoint. There are no pop-up blockers or firewalls
installed on the Metaframe box. I am at my wits end with this and open
to suggestions.
