cityblueprint font in excel:mac

I received a spreadsheet with the font cityblueprint which I can open
in Excel for Windows but even though I have the font in my font folder
on my mac the spreadsheet has "rectangular zero or 'O' characters". I
can use other fonts to get to the spreadsheet but some formatting is
lost. The font looks correct in the mac Fontbook but does not work on
the spreadsheet. Is is this a windows mac compatibility problem or is
there a workaround. Thanks

I can't say for sure, but based on some very *brief* research the problem
appears to be that the design of the font may not include appropriate coding
for cross-platform compatibility. I have seen reports that it doesn't
function in Windows Word Spell Check as well as other complaints. Have you
ever done anything on the Mac in this font & had it display properly on the
PC?

Are you sure you have the Mac version - usable in docs on the Mac with no
display problem? The descriptive info in Font Book doesn't necessarily mean
that the font is usable. You might also check in System
Preferences>International - Input menu and be certain you have a check in
the box for U.S. Extended in addition to regular U.S.

If you can use it effectively you might try doing a Select All (assuming the
entire sheet uses this font) & reapply the font from your font list - it may
be necessary to switch to some other font first, then switch back.

If that doesn't help you'll probably be best off contacting the foundry:
