Clarification of Owner, Manager and Project Manager

We have just started using MSProject and Project Web access. I noticed that
this question is similar to some of the other questions already out there.
What is the definition of Owner, Manager and Project Manager as the software
sees it. I have read some of the other correspondence and found it helpful
but need further clarification.

Where does Project Web pull from MS Project information to populate the Lead
Resource field.

The project Owner is the person who initially creates and saves the project
in the Project Server database. The project Manager is the person who first
publishes the assignments in the project using Collaborate - Publish - All
Information or Collaborate - Publish - New and Changed Assignments. When a
team member updates a task on their PWA timesheet, Project Server sends the
update to the Manager of the project. To change either the Owner or Manager
of any project, refer to the following FAQ:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/changeprojmgr.htm

The Lead Name field on the PWA timesheet page is only populated when a team
member delegates a task to some other team member. Given your newness to
Project Server, please refer to the following FAQ for valuable information
about documentation, books, and training on the software:

Hope this helps.
