"You will have a classic mode, right?"
- Bill Gates to Jensen Harris, after seeing the Office 2007 ribbon

Bill Gates was smart enough to see that Office 2007 needed a classic
mode.
But somehow, the Office development team convinced him that a classic
mode
wouldn't fit with the future direction of Office. So, we have a huge
frustration point: Excel 2007 is the best new version of Excel in 10
years,
but no one will upgrade because they don't want to re-learn the user
interface.

So, here we thought of being different and planned to provide you with
FREE

And believe it or not, when you try and download, you get a message that the
webpage does not exist! Try another link, and you are taken to some other
page, where you can apparently sign up for something. So, just another scam,
if you ask me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

And I'd bet dollars to donuts that the citation in the original
message

<<<

<<<

is complete crap with zero foundation.

Hear hear, although I still cannot believe that a company as big as Microsoft
can do such stupid things!!!! Lots of people are simply refusing to convert
to 2007, simply because of the foreign user interface! That means I also
have to stick to 2003, or loose my customers.

Hi,

I converted to XP and 2007 a few months ago, leaping from 98 and 2000 and
was overwhelmed. I did find a free download for home use of the Classic 2003
menu from this site:

http://www.ubit.ch/software/ubitmenu-languages/

It applies to Excel, Word and PowerPoint. If I can't find something within a
few seconds from the ribbon I click on MENU and have the Classic menu to
refer to. Works great!

CHORDially,
Art Farrell
