To install an Office 2007 upgrade product you'll need to have either installed, or the CD avaialble for the upgrade qualifier
product. That's an Office 2000 or newer product CD (except for the Student & Teacher's Editions) or a MS Works product CD.
Buying an upgrade extends the license from the qualifying product to the new product. It doesn't create a separate license (i.e.
you're not doubling the installs allowed to cover both the original product and the upgrade).
