Clean up Tasks in PWA

In the project server their is a process under cleaning up the project server
database that allows you to do the following.....

1. Log into PWA with Admin permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Clean up Project Server Database Link
4. Select the Tasks Option
5. Select the" Only Completed Task Assignments" option from he delete drop
down list
6. Select Ever Sent option from the other drop down list
7. In the lower section of the page, select the "Delete the specified task,
resource task change, or status report for all users" option
8. Click the delete button.

My question is whether this action will delete just the data in the users
PWA file (which is what I want to do) or will it delete everything associated
with the task assignment, including actuals in the project file.

My goal is to clean up my users PWA but maintain the integrity of the
historical data for the managers.

Thanks,
Marvin

The process you describe will only remove completed task assignments from
each resource's timesheet page in PWA. It will not harm the original
project file. I commend you for your caution before using this process.
Hope this helps.

It worked; however, it did remove the completed projects from the project
center too. I was able to Collaborate, Publish Project Plan, and put them
back into the Project Center without the tasks going back into the PWA
timesheet view.

Thanks!

Mighty strange behavior! I have never seen the deletion of completed task
assignments cause the removal of the project from the Project Center view.
Let's ask others to comment on this behavior to confirm if they have ever
seen it.
