cleaning up data in a field

Jeannie S

One of my fields in a table contains data could look like this:
TRK#790152346464
T#K0300481272
How do I remove the leading characters up to and including the # sign so I
am left with only:
790152346464
K0300481272

Thanks for all your help, in the past and now. Jeannie

An update query ...

UPDATE tblTest SET tblTest.TestText =
Mid$([TestText],InStr(1,[TestText],"#")+1);

.... where 'tblTest' is the name of your table and 'TestText' is the name of
your field.
