Clear all tabs

Using Word 2003 in Office XP. All updates in place.

Is there a way to clear all tab marks in a Word document other than
individually zapping each one?

I've got a long document in which somebody (or something) has set several
tab marks at random places in different paragraphs. How can I get rid of
them all at once?

I have found that using a Find and Replace works best on
a global delete. You should make sure that the tabs are
replaced by a space. Here's how:

CTRL+H gets you to the replace dialog box.
Click on the Find What box.
Select the More button.
Click on the Special Button.
Click on the Replace With box
Press the space bar
Click on Replace All button.

You will be asked to confirm replacement.

Hope this works for you.

I don't mean the tab *characters*; I mean the *marks*: those little L (or
other) shaped things in the ruler just above the document area.
