Click and type field code

Running Word 2003 SP3. I have a form that merges some information, but I also
need some type of "click and type" option for information that is not
variable. I tried using the field {MACROBUTTON NoMacro} and it is fine if the
instruction is short enough to fit on one line. Others are too long to fit in
the margins and displays "DisplayText cannot span more than one line!" I need
to show the complete fill in instruction so the user can complete the form.
Is there any other option? Thanks. pms

Try using an ASK or FILLIN field. I have to admit though, I never know
which one is more suitable.

Hi Doug,

A FILLIN field is more practical if you need to display the result at the point where the field exists - ASK fields only populate a
bookmark and, aside from possibly displaying the bookmark boundary bars, doesn't make its presence obvious in the document.

Thanks. Will this work for multiple instance in the same document? ps
