clickable shapes - page jump

did some digging and wasnt able to find this but i figure it must be
possible....

is there a way i can make a shape clickable and then have it redirect to a
different page within the same document?

and if i want it to link to a different document do i just use the hyperlink
or is there another method for that?

Thanks
Justin

You can use hyperlinks for both going to another page or another
document.

You also set the goto Page from the Format - Behaviour - Goto page but
that doesn't show as a hyperlink.

Both of these, of course, use a double click. A single click to access
them would be a bit pointless as you wouldn't be able to easily select
the shape.

Thanks for the help but it didnt really work out as planned.

As you said i selected my object and went to format - behaviour then to the
double-click tab and selected the "go to page:" and it gave me a drop down
of pages, selected the one i wanted.....
Hit ok and got back to my drawing, so i thought i would give it a try...
double clicked my shape and it opened a web browser and directed it to
http://drawing2/#Rack1 which obviously didnt work from with in Visio...

I tried to export this as a webpage, because really thats my end goal
anyways and all of that went just fine. i opened it and it shows a pretty
slick interface. attempted to click on my shape again and this time nothing.

What am i missing?

Thanks
Justin

er, um, don't know offhand, which version of Visio are you using?
Ah, well, if you want to do HTML as the final result then all is fine
except you want to use the hyperlink instead of double-click. Save As
webpage doesn't know about double-click behaviour.

sorry, thought i included that... i thought about it at least :) im using
2007 pro

Is there an easy way to give a web reference to a page?
I guess i assume when you say hyperlink you mean the Insert - Hyperlink
It asks me for the web address whichi would obviously like to keep as
dynamic as possible. any suggestions as to how i should use that?

Thanks

Please disregard my lazy post :)

I found the answer in the help files.

you leave the address blank and in the subaddress you put the page or shape
name you would like to jump to.

works great!!

now im off and running :)

Thanks
