clicking from one slide to another

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

First...I apologize...I don't even know what terms to use to find out if the answer exists...so here goes...

I created a slide show...I seem to have to click twice to get to a new slide.

Say I am on a slide...I click once...I get to a blank slide screen...I then click and the animation/transition thingy kicks in. What I really want is to do a single click (for the next slide) and go to the second slide and execute the animation/transition. I can't figure out how...I don't even know the right terms to try to find help.

So...HELP!?!?!

Go to your slide. Go to the Slide Show menu and choose Custom Animation.
Highlight all the animations listed in Animation Order. In the drop down
menu next to Start, choose With Previous (or After Previous) instead of
On Click.
