If you mean you are unable to double-click to edit directly in a cell, go to
Excel>Preferences>Edit & restore the 1st check.
If you mean you cannot *select* a cell by clicking it you probably have some
sort of Protection applied.
Should neither of these be the problem post back with a more complete &
accurate description of the problem as well as what version of Excel/Office
& Mac OS.
