Clicking keyboard for Word

I'm writing a book and I need a typing sound effect when I press a key to
make it feel like I'm using a typewriter. I don't actually need a typewriter
sound but I would like a click of some kind. I know it's silly but it makes
me feel better. Any ideas?

AFAIK this is not a setting you can add/change in Word, but Googling for keyboard sounds gives a ton of results for keyboard sound programs that you can add to Windows (which will work when you're using Word in Windows). I found a number of free programs at http://www.freewarehome.com/System_Utilities/Keyboard_Tools_t.html. HTH.

Hi, Bobby. I don't know about any third-party programs that would make
the clicking sound, but you might want to consider treating yourself to
an old-fashioned clicky keyboard. I'm assuming you have a desktop and
not a laptop, of course. For instance, my keyboard on this machine is
an old IBM that makes lots of clicking when you use it. You can buy a
new keyboard that does this, although they aren't cheap. Here's a link:
