A couple of questions to you experts out there!!
I'm useing Access 97 SR-2. I've created an event tracking database which
works fine stand alone. The next step clearly is having a client / server
type scenario where the database is held remotely and multiple users attach
to the same database (or a number of the same formatted databases). Now here
are my 2 or 3 questions.
1) How do I avoid record locking issues?
2) I want to devise a client that can connect a database, then if the user
decides they can change to working on a different project change the
database that they are attached to (all the same type of database but just
differing data and file locations), but for the user I just want them to
"browse" to it click OK then have a macro link all the relevant tables. Is
this possible and how? It's the browsing that I think that I'll have
problems with!!
Thanks loads
