Client using 97 & XP

Hi,
I have developed an Excel add-in that references the word
object library. However, some of my clients machines use
Office XP and some 97 so I have problems with missing
libraries if I reference 8.0 libraries and run it on an XP
machine and vice versa.
Is there a way to set the references in code based on the
version of Excel being used or another work around?

Use late binding - don't have a reference to excel.
