Server:
Win2K3 SP1
Exchange 2003 SP2
Client workstation:
WinXP Pro SP2
Outlook 2003 SP2
On a previous laptop user "BF" had access to our internal network via a VPN.
The laptop failed and we replaced it with a PC. Now, under the same user
"BF" I can't get the email setup on the client in Outlook 2003. Each time I
try, either via the VPN or the Cat5 connect at the office, I get the error
message indicating that Exchange can't be opened.
I get the request for the password when attempting to open Outlook on the
client workstation. The user, in domain MyDomain\BF, enters the password and
then eventually gets the error msg 'Your Microsoft Exchange Server is
unavailable'.
I'm at a loss of what to do.
Any 'jump starts' are appreciated! The user, BF, when on the network can
see everything on the network but the Exchange/Outlook interface just doesn't
work. BF can get on and see the emails via Outlook Web Access but the
Outlook client isn't "connected" yet.
What am I doing/not doing correctly? It appears that the network
connectivity is fine but the Outlook/Exchange connectivity isn't!
TIA,
Tom
