Clip art default viewer changed

I loaded some software with a digital camera a while
back. When I traded the camera and deleted the software,
I started having trouble with MSWord. Every time I try to
insert clip art, a box pops up asking me to insert the
software disk from my old digital camera. That disk is
gone. I have tried reinstalling MSWord, but the same
thing happens. Is there some place in my registry where I
can change an entry so it will again use the default clip
art software and stop looking for this old software?

Strange thing is, when I did have this other software
loaded, it appeared to still use the same old MS Clip Art
software. i never saw any indication that this other
software was being used.

Thanks for your help!!

What is the old software?

Do you have Clip Gallery or Clip Organizer installed?

Are you getting the message when you click a thumbnail clip in Clip Gallery
or Clip Organizer? if so then it is probably looking for a clip that was on
the disk

It sounds like a TWAIN driver was partially uninstalled?

Have you looked to see that the device is gone from the hardware list in the
control panel?

The old software was "Picture It!".

I am not sure which clip art software I have. It is
whatever loaded with MS Office 97 Professional.

Also, I am getting the message when I select
Insert/Picture/Clip Art from the MSWord menu. Instead of
opening the clip art viewer or organizer, it tries to open
Picture It and I get an error saying that the software
can't be found and to insert the disk.

MSWord thinks that when I try to insert clip art I want to
use Picture It instead of one of the MS clip art programs.
