clip art graphic display

When I want to add a clip art to a file, and I go to
Insert -> Picture -> Clip Art and do a search
for "surfer", most of results don't actually show the
picture. When I go to properties/preview, it shows the
picture, but when I try to drop it into the doc, I get
the error "Word cannot obtain the data for the... wmf
link"

Any ideas why?
