clip art inserted into a document only appears as the filename

When I select any clipart and try to insert it into a document (Word,
Publisher, etc.), it only appears as the filename inside a box i.e:
wo7elle94.wmf. However, I can insert other graphic types such as .jpg, bmp,
gif, etc. I have already checked to see that "Picture Placeholders" in
"Tools/Options" is not checked. Please help me be able to use clip art again.

Thanks

Have you tried a detect and repair? Are you inserting this image from the Office
web site? If you are empty your Internet temp cache and try again. In Internet
Explorer, tools, Internet Options, delete files.

Could be your .wmf filter is missing or corrupt. Find WMFIMP32.FLT, rename it to
WMFIMP32.OLD. Drag a new copy from your setup disk to the folder. It is in a
folder similar to this:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Grphflt

I have followed all your instructions to the letter, to no avail.

I have:
1. Emptied the cookies and files.
2. "Repaired" Office.
3. Found a copy of wmfimp32.flt and copied it to the folder; C:
\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\GRPHFLT (there was no
copy in the folder).

I am using Microsoft Office 2003. Are there any other suggestions?

Thank you,

Calvin
