Clip art locations?

After a reinstallation of WinXP, my wife's Word 2000 configuration has
been a bit quirky. In particular, using Insert|Picture|ClipArt often
resulted in being asked to insert a CD. When I looked in Options|File
Locations, the entry for ClipArt was blank, so I changed it to
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\ClipArt where I saw the various
subfolders.

Was that correct? Or should I have specified a particular subfolder,
such as \Standard? Anyway, it didn't seem to fix the problem - most
clips were still not directly accessible from the HD.

But at some stage later, when faced with a clip that wasn't found, I
clicked the option 'Update Location' and then entered C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\ClipArt\Standard. That seems to have worked, in
that every clip I've tried from All Categories has been found OK. But
I'm not sure. What about all the other subfolders in C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\ClipArt, like these:
corpbas
corpmm
homeanim
photohm
Pub60Cor
Publisher
smbusbas
WebArt

Also, I'm confused to find other locations apparently containing
clipart, such as:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Clipart
which has subfolders called autoshap, cagcat50 and themes1. Do they
have unique clips? If so, how can I be sure thet are accessible when
using Word?

All very confusing <g>.
