clip art probs

hi,
in any MS Word document that i add clip art to i can not see a
preview of the clip art that i 'can' insert. If i click a clip to
insert it will do so and i am able to see it in the document.
only the frames that are supposed to hold the clip art are displayed
in the insert clipart dialog box. The clipart frames have displayed a funny
pic with 'dglxasset...'
in each frame. The clips which are supposed to be previewed so that you can
see what you are
inserting are not shown.
Dave Neve and Suzanne S. Barnhill thanks for the suggestion of Tools |
Options | View: Picture placeholders but this hasn't helped.
i have tried removing all clip art from my pc and then using the selective
install option for the clip art but this hasn't helped either.
any help is appreciated
thanks

You need to clear the cache in your browser. If this is Internet Explorer,
go to Tools | Internet Options and click the Delete Files... button under
Temporary Internet Files.
