Clip Organizer - Add clip from scanner

I go through the process of File>Add clips to organizer>From Scanner or
Camera. The "acquiring image" progress meter shows that it is working and
the scanner is chugging away, but nothing happens and no image arrives in the
chosen folder (or anywhere else). Any suggestions?

I really wish I could just import from scanner directly into Outlook like I
used to!

What happens if you use the scanner software and save the results to a folder?

Sadly the scanner software is not available with Vista (I bought the HP 1200
when I had XP). But the scanner works fine. I had been using Document
Imaging to control the scanner, but that disappeared when I upgraded Office
to 2007 Enterprise.

I have scanned the documents in using another programme and have
successfully imported them to Clip ORganizder, but there is a limit to the
number of steps I want to undertake just to get a scanned document into an
email.

Have you checked with HP for an updated driver? I have a HP scanner that I can
scan with Vista by pressing the button on the scanner. The Document Imaging
program is not installed by default, go to the control panel, programs folder,
scroll down to Office, click change.

The HP site informs me that the Scan button will not work with Vista - their
site suggests using the Paint accessory in Windows to import from the scanner.

I have however reinstated the Document Imaging and Scanning utilities.

I am always surprised the differences in HP products. I'm glad you have the
Imaging program back. Thanks for the update, I appreciate it.
