clipart download from web issue?

Office apps hang when searching for clipart. I have found a small issue when
tring to insert clip art in MS office products, word, excel etc.. One of the
features is a search, that searches the web. So when it tries to search the
web it appears like the app is hung up. Aprox. 4 minutes later the results
show up and app runs fine untill you need to search for another piece of clip
art. Work around is to unselect the search the web option. But I'm still
concerned why it is happening in case I need to use the search the web
feature.

I am using Office 2K3 Pro w/SP1 on Windows XP w/SP2 and I do have a media
disk that I have installed on our computers (around Sept 05) so the clipart
is on each local machine. My Latop does not have this problem. I have logged
on other computers and expirenced the problem. Most computers are in a lab or
classroom enviroment, the rest are for the individual user. I'm the only
person that does not use a roaming profile. Our computers are on a domain and
we recently created our primary DC w/Windows 2K3 (Oct 05) We also created a
Win2K3 Server as an ISA 2K4 Server (Feb 06) and thought maybe there may be a
connection. I have searched the posts but haven't found the same situation so
far. If you need addition infomation please ask.

You probably have a full Internet cache, in Internet Explorer, tools, Internet
options, delete files.

Hi Mary,

Thanks for responding. I have seen this answer for another clipart issue and
had tried this possiblity. Just to make sure, I went and tried it again. On a
typical desktop machine I logged in, I deleted all the roaming profiles &
checked the the cookies and cached files for the local admin, all users &
default user and deleted what was there. I rebooted and still the same
result.

A added note that seems related. Inserting autoshapes is a problem her also.
Clicking on the more autoshapes button hangs MS Word. All MS documents opened
in the same process hang. I am able to open another process of Word and can
do other things.
