clipart download

The other day I was trying to use clipart, thinking that
using microsoft via the web is a safe thing to do. I
clicked on a clipart item and it gave me a download use
agreement which I accepted. once I did this I found that
it was not a mocrosoft prodcut, but from "GAIN" ever
since, this GAIN software keeps creating pop-ups while I
am on line. I am sure it is because of something I
downloaded during the clip art download. does any body
know what I should be looking for in my file directory
and how I get rid of it? It is not some fly by night
download, it is one of the main items in the microsoft
library of clip art. any ideas?

This installation did not come from Microsoft.

The most likely explanation is that you've got spyware or adware installed
on your PC, and the unwelcome advertisement came from that software, which
popped it up when you visited our site. The companies involved have been
sued in the past for such behaviors.

You can scan for and remove adware like GAIN using the freeware tool called
LavaSoft AdAware. You can download AdAware from download.com
