clipart fault in word 2000 windows 98

I don't know when but I have lost CLIPART altogether. On
clicking on the icon on the insert menu, the pahe opens up
but the window of "Illegal operation and shuttind down"
opens up and that is that! On checking the additional
information in th window it says:

Art galery caused an invalid page fault in module MCPS.DLL
at 0187:677DF604 followed by the usla long sequence of
numbers.

I have tried to repair, uninstall and reinstall word 2000
but no luck at all. Anyone with the same problem? Any
suggestion? Is the registry corrupted?
