Clipart gone missing

I work in a school that has a network of macs all runing office 2001.
Recently the clipart on some of these machines is disappearing (a
window comes up saying no clipart. If you try a search i.e computers
some pictures will flash up for about a second and then disappear
again!) I have tryed everything to get the clipart back including
re-installing office onto the computer. It still doesn't come back.
The only way i have found to bring the clipart back is to clone a
whole computer system from a computer that is working not only is this
a high network demand but it is a pain in the butt. Anyone got any
ideas why this is happening and how to stop it any help i would be
gratefull
Cheers

Clipart does play up if it is not on the boot partition. It also plays up
if Internet Explorer is not correctly installed.

In OS X, you need to use SymLinks, not aliases if you want to put it
anywhere else. And I have no idea how to do that :)

In the meantime, I am *sure* you tried rebuilding the desktop :) But if
you didn't, now might be a good time.

Hope this helps
