Clipart in Office XP

I have an issue with using the clipart in Office XP. If I
try to insert clipart I get an error message saying
that "Clip Organizer cannot complete the operation. The
RPC server is unavailable". I searched the KB for this,
which referred me to article 302375. it didn't appear to
apply as I am running Windows Xp, but I checked the
version number of MDAC installed, and it's version 2.7. I
can't find any other articles which detail this issue.
Can anyone help?

What is the COM error code (0x8000????) that shows when this happens?

Winodws Xp is at Service pack 1a with post Sp1 security
hotfixes. Office Xp is at Sp1
