Hi Joe:
Change your email format from HTML to RTF.
Clipart illustrations are vector format (unlimited resolution). However,
there is, as yet, no accepted standard for vector illustrations in HTML.
(Well, the standard has been published, but the various software
implementations of it are not sufficiently wide-spread to make it safe to
send in HTML). So if you format your email as HTML, Word will convert the
illustration to GIF or PNG, a bitmap format that does have a limited
resolution.
If you change to RTF format, Word will leave the clipart alone, because RTF
will encapsulate both vector formats in use.
However, do this only for specific emails, because RTF is a very bulky
format and most people will not appreciate receiving it when they do not
need it
To see how to make the change, look up Email Format in the Outlook Help.
Cheers
I am using Outlook 2003 SP2 and am using Word as my editor. When I insert
clipart images into an e-mail they initally look fine. However when I save
the message and then reopen it, the clipart image resolution is much reduced.
Any suggestions please
Thanks
