I have a question for all of you Office MVP's. I work for a School District
and many teachers use Office XP Professional on a Vista computer. My
question is, why does Clipart crash Word? It seems there isn't a lot of
support online for Clipart. What happens is this, a teacher opens Word,
selects Picture then Clipart. You search for "Bears" in the dialog text.
Clipart starts to place pictures in the column. When you start to scroll
down, Clipart will automatically crash Word. You get a "Word has stopped
working" message.

What I have done to resolve the problem is this. I did a Repair (didn't
work), Uninstalled/Reinstalled Office (Worked), and I updated the Office SP.

Back to my original question, ramdomly why does Clipart cause Word to crash?

Take a look at your graphics/video card driver. Is it current?

Empty your temporary cache, in Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options,
Delete

Compact the Organizer. Open the Organizer from Start, Microsoft Office Tools,
Microsoft Organizer, when the Organizer opens, Tools, Compact.

The Organizer has its own Detect and Repair.
