Can't imagine that it would be available in IE unless perhaps it is
available when an Office app is running? Don't know--never used it.

Just this minute tried this out Suzanne. You can definitely copy and paste
from a webpage under IE, even with Word closed when you copy (clipboard). If
you then open Word and paste, all the stuff that you copied appears in your
Word document. Maybe this is because I always go to the web via VIEW on the
Outlook (not OE) window...

That's the Windows Clipboard, not the Office Clipboard, which allows you to
collect up to 24 separate copied/cut "things." The Windows Clipboard works
in any Windows app, and the shortcut keys Ctrl+C (Copy), Ctrl+X (Cut), and
Ctrl+V (Paste are universal.

O! Thanks. I had no idea there were two of them! Does the Office clipboard
allow several successive copies to add to it while the windows is one off?
And if so, how do you clear the Office clipboard so that a new running of it
is taken alone?

In Word, click Edit | Office Clipboard and have a play with it (as I said,
you can collect up to 24 copied items and paste them as desired). You might
also search Help for "Office Clipboard."

If you have Outlook open the Office Clipboard will be retained as Outlook is
an Office application; it is only cleared when all Office applications have
been closed.
