clipboard problem

Hi.

I am not sure if this is a Windows problem or an Office problem. I am running Office XP on Win XP Pro. I am unable to copy text in Office or from a web page, email, etc. I ran office repair and the problem went away for a few days. Now the problem is back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As an update, restarting the computer seems to fix the clipboard issue. Not sure why?

If you have had Works installed on the machine, then the Works add-in for
Word may be active and clearing the clipboard.

Works was not previously installed on the machine.

Apparently, rebooting will sometimes fix the problem. However, I have never seen this occur before, even when a computer has been left on for long periods of time.
