clipboard/scapbook

Q

I am editing a long word document. In the past, I used the clipboard
to store blocks of text for future use. The clipboard seems to have
been replaced by the scapbook. How do I use it? I can't find any
useful information in help. So, please help me!

Where did you look in Help - did you see the "About the Scrapbook", "Add
clips to the Scrapbook", and "Paste clips from the Scrapbook" topics?

In any case, the Scrapbook is exceedingly easy to use. Select your text,
and either click the Add button (if you're in an Office app, or drag the
text to the scrapbook window.

You can drag and item from non-Office apps if you select it, begin
dragging the text, switch to Office using CMD-Tab (while holding down
the mouse button), and drag onto the Scrapbook window.

Use the Paste button or drag the text to a document to insert it. You
can drag from the Scrapbook to other apps.

Thanks, but I just want to keep track of things I cut using CMD-X; I
was able to do this in the past if I opened the clipboard. Is it
possible to still do that? The scrapbook seems to add a couple of
extra steps when you're trying to work fast. Am I missing something?

Hi Qusheba,
you can copy to scrapbook by
Command- Shift-C (Scrapbook should be open)
and paste a selected clip from scrapbook to document by
Command - Shift- v
Cut to scrapbook is not available .

Thanks,
Priyanka
