I seemed to have lost the ability to clip notes from https: pages after I
reloaded Office 2007. It works fine otherwise. Any suggestions!

Do you mean clip as in from the OneNote System Tray icon, or do you mean
the "Send to OneNote" button in IE?

I am refering to the System Tray icon, as well as, the screen clip icon in
the Tool Bar. I could do this before, but can't anymore after the
reinstallation.

Have any MS patches been installed recently, for instance MS08-023, that may
affect that functionality?

I had a recent problem in One Note having to with older clippings from web
pages where it would crash my One Note every time I opened it until I removed
my data files. I found a recent MS patch for a vulnerability in ActiveX had
something to do with the issue.

PS: The screen just goes gray on such sites. Any clipping into OneNote is
seen as a black patch.

As a final resort, I reinstalled Office 2007 with the MS-disks, without
uninstalling Office and the problem disappeared. I beileve some of the
automatic updates are responsible.
