Cloning a database without some table-data

Hi,
My associate and I are trying between us to create a new databse for 2010 -
making it the same as the 2009 database - except for the data entered in some
of the tables.
Most of the tables will stay the same - with the data.
We have used a search for this and have discovered (we thought) the holy
grail.
1.) create new database
2.) Click on FILE > Get External Data > IMPORT
3.) Navigate to the database that you want to clone
4.)Select all the tables, queries, forms etc you wish to import
5.)Select Definitions only (on tables, queries... that you do not want the
data with)
- - Set other OPTIONS as needed- -


We did all this - and everything works..... however, the data is still
attached to the TABLES we specifically asked for DEFINITIONS ONLY in the
OPTIONS tab.
How do we get 6 out of the 20 tables to show as blank tables (definition
only) and the others still have the data ?

I have started a new database again - thinking it was because I did not
follow one of the rules.
After I imported the first table as definitions only, I reviewed the new
database, and it still had the data with it.
What am I doing wrong?

Would it have taken too long to elaborate on which other newsgroup this

Do you expect folks to feel like responding when you reply like that? But
just in case, no, I didn't expect you to be psychic.

The newsgroups have Rules of Conduct ... and if you haven't read them over,
my reminder saved you the trouble of looking up that particular rule.

The idea of posting in just one saves you (and everyone else) time. You
don't remember where you posted?
