I purchased a new PC and tried to clone my Groove there. No problme
installing the SW. But when I tried to log onto my groove account, the SW
did not recognize the account name or may password.

So, I use the option of have Groove save the WSpace as a file. moved the
file to the new pC and installed that. The name and PW requested were the
same ones I normally use to logon and had used above,

Now the new copy shows my groove spaces but is not downloading them. This
is true whether I tell it to use my other machines (one of which is
immediately adjacent on the other side of a router, or ask it to use one pf
my colleagues computers.

Hi Steve,

If you are using Groove 3.x, let's perform the following steps to see
whether we can resolve this issue:

1. On your old computer, log into Groove using the account you plan to
transfer. From the Options menu, choose Preferences, go the Account tab, and
click the Save Account As File... button to create an account file (For
example, you can name it as MyBackupAccount.grv. ). Note: Please keep your
computer running and Groove Account online until we transferred the account.

2. Transfer the account file (MyBackupAccount.grv) to your new computer.

3. On your new computer, start Groove. Click the Groove icon in your task
bar and select New Account.

4. Click "Use a Groove account you have already created" or "Use an
existing Groove account" option, and click Next button.

5. Click Browse button.

6. Find and select the account backup file (for example,
MyBackupAccount.grv). Click Open.

7. Then select the workspace you want in the workspaces list. In the
common tasks pane, click Get Workspace From, and select an option for
downloading the workspace data.

For more information, please refer to the following article to restore the
saved account and download the data back:

Is this issue resolved?

Hi Steve,

Since all of your other computers are out of sync for a while, I don't think
you can get your account data from those PCs. Are there any other members in
your workspaces? If so, please inform them to log on their Groove account and
leave it online until you got the data back to your old PC.

For those workspaces in which you are the only member, if you have not
archived them as a .gsa file before, I'm afraid that you may not restore them
back. Please create a new one and invite at least one member into it.

After you got the data back to your old PC, you can use the same way to
re-install Groove 3.1 on your other PCs and restore your account back.

Is this issue resolved now?

Let me know if you require any further help.

Something wierd is going on.

First, the copy on my old home machine is live and synched perfectoy with
the copy on my desktop at work.

The two home machines are on one subnet, seperated only by a router and
using two addresses assigned by the router.

If I install on the new machine and enter my email and PW, nothing good
happens .. it claims not to recognize the combination.

If I install and access a copy made form the old puter, it installs but it
never updates the files either if I tell ti to use other puters on my account
OR my secretary's PC.

HELP!

Is there even a $90 number to call???
