Close section

Hi,
A simple question this time. How do I close a section. I can only find close
notebook in the menu and nothing relevant in the right-click menu. I use
ON2007.

You don't really "open" and "close" sections. Navigation is more like when
you're moving around a hard drive, you don't really open and close
directories, they are all just "there" but only one is available for viewing
at any one time.

Like hard drive navigation, if you viewing one section (really, page within
a section) and want to go to another, you navigate a bit and click on the
next section/page and now you are "in" that one, the other one is not visible
but you didn't have to close it. If you want to see two pages at any one
time, then you have to open a second instance of onenote (ctrl-M).

I'm sorry if I didn't make my intentions clear. There could be many reasons
you would like to close sections. This time it is that the project is over
and I do not want to see the related notes any more. I want to reduce the
amount of sections visible to make navigation easier but I don't want to
delete it because I might want to open the section at a later point. After
using ON for many years, a clean-up is something you would like to do.

So, I want to close a section because I don't need it visible any more and
it cludders my hierarchy.

I can open sections, so why shouldn't I be able to close them?

As YB said, that can't be done. You can move a section to an Archive
notebook and the open and close that Notebook as needed.

Thanks,
I will make a setup for archiving then. I vaguely remember closing a section
before, but that could be in ON2003.
