I have project managers who want to retain tasks in their schedules where no
work was performed so that it is documented that the work was considered but
eventually not necessary and so that the original baseline remains intact. I
have found that some may be removing the resource and then zeroing the work
and not the duration. These tasks eventually become corrupted and the finish
dates jump way out. Is this a division by zero issues in the D=W/U
calculation since the task has a duration but work and resource are zero? Has
anyone else seen this issue?
