FP2003 / WinXP / Newbie - no HTML writing ability
1. When viewing enlarged images from the auto thumbnail feature and opening
pages in a "new window", there appears to me a little ambigity about how the
viewer closes these windows after viewing them. I have to rely on them using
the X button in the top right hand corner of the window. I have seen some
examples of a "close window" button being available on these kind of pages.
Does FP have this functionality and where is it? - if no - are there
alternatives that I can introduce.

Thank you for taking a look at my question.

There is in fact nothing you can do without a little extra work. The
thumbnail feature
Opens the large image on its own. There is no page to add the
javascript to.

The extra work involves creating a new page for each large image,
placing the image on the new page, and adding the JavaScript to close
the page. Paste the JavaScript from SingaporeWebDesign (in Code view)
wherever you want the close window link.

The links on the thumbnails will then have to be changed to point to the
new pages.

Not possible to change this, unless you first place the large image on a page, then change the
hyperlink from the thumbnail to point to the page with the large image, and display the large image
in a popup window created via JavaScript, then you can provide a link/button for the user to click
on to close the window.

Thank you for your replys - I would like to concentrate on putting a close
window button on a page that has been opened in a new window, I have taken a
look at a page in code view but I am having big orientation problems - I
would like the close window command to appear 35mm from the bottom of the
window in the middle of page width, what I cant follow is how I place it in
the code view - are there basic rules that be followed when placing the
text???

Thank you for taking a look at my question.

Insert a 2 row table on the page, then in the top row place your photo and the bottom row the close
window code.
