closed synchronized folder in One Note 2007?

Michelle

I accidently deleted my folder with my work...I clicked close because in all
of the other MS software close means...you close the darn file....not delete
it.

How can I get this folder back. There is no undelete.

How can I restore it the way it was as a sync folder rather than individual
unsynchronized files?

Your help is apppreciated.

This is the same in OneNote.
If one closes a file it is just closed, not deleted.

Therefore: What makes you think that you *deleted* the file?
How can I get this folder back. There is no undelete.

I do not fully understand the scenario.
As you say "synchronized folder":
Is this about a folder which is not *physically* sitting on your HDD
because it was opened from a shared device on another computer
(typically: ON a notebook, files opened from a shared device on the
desktop PC)?
How can I restore it the way it was as a sync folder rather than
individual unsynchronized files?

In case my assumption is right:
Just *open* the file again from the menu
"File | Open " and navigate to the shared device on the computer where
the files are stored.

P:S. BTW: With OneNote - different from the usual way of working with
other applications - one does not *close* files. One just leaves
everything open all the time.

Hello Rainald,

I spoke to someone at microsoft and found the file...it had been removed
from the folder and was hidden in another location.

I store my notebooks on an external drive so I can access my files from my
notebook and desktop pc.

Thanks again for your help,

Michelle

Congratulations!

Just wondering: How could this have happened.
I store my notebooks on an external drive so I can access my files
from my notebook and desktop pc.

I would suggest to change the way of working with ON on more than one
computer.
The concept of One is based on a different approach:
One keeps the notebooks just on *one* computer (typically on the
desktop). On the other computer(s) - typically a laptop - one does not
store the notebooks. The notebooks are opened remote from the device
where they are stored.
ON then works with its cache and all changes are automatically synched
both ways.

If any further questions in so far, pls ask again.

Hi...I also File/Closed my different OneNote tabs/pages and don't know how to
reopen them (the pages/tabs). File/Open only has Section and Folders option.
I need to reopen the Pages and NOT a Secion or a Folder.

Help is very much appreciated.

Which version of ON is this about?
ON2003?
I'm asking because of your wording.
"Folder" is not used in ON2007. There's "notebook, section group,
section, page, subpage.

In addition: I'm wondering why you want to open a *page*. Normally one
opens a *notebook* and the all of its content is available.
