closing access 2000

Windows XP professional SP1
office 2000 SP3
Most of the time I cannot close Access either by clicking
on the top right hand corner or using the application.quit
command.

I applied the solution proposed in article 246953 from
knowledge base.
Nothing doing.
What is the hang up?

Antoni,

Not sure what the problem is, but you may try hitting CTL - Break to stop
any rogue code process that may be going on and see if that makes a
difference. Probably won't if you can get into code and do the
Application.Quit.

Is it a pure coincidence but it seems to have worked.
I opened my BD
created a sub with only application.quit in it
hit ctrl-Break
executed the sub
Miracle Access disappears

Now I will try testing in my real situation
