Closing an external program (Word) from Access

Created an application in Access which opens Word and
creates a document. How do I close the Word application
after the document is finished? It remains open
(somewhere). When I try to run the module again, I
get 'Remote Server busy...", have to close Access then
reopen to get it to work. I've tried Application.Close
Window and several others that still keep Word open. HELP!

MyWordObject.Quit

You should modify your word automation code to:

If word is not running, then load it.


If word is already running, the USE THAT copy running!

I have a sample application that does the above. I also have some notes on
my web site as to how to make a reliability word merge. Feel free to try
