Closing Comments Window in Office XP

H

Hal Allert

In earlier versions of Office I could click the
little 'close' button at the bottom where the comments
are. In Office XP, I can open the comments but there is no
close button. I ultimately want to do this with voice
recognition. If a command is not there, can I build a
macro? How do I close the comments box?

Hi Hal,

You are describing the Reviewing Pane. Perhaps voice recognition will
now recognize it?

If not you can assign a keyboard shortcut to toggle the view and use
it for your voice command:

- Right-click any toolbar and select Customize
- Click the "Keyboard" command
- In the Categories pane select "All Commands"
- Locate "Reviewing Pane" on the right
- Place your curser in the "Press new shortcut key" and press the keys
you wish to use for the shortcut
- Click "Assign"

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
