Closing Tasks to Update for Linked Projects in Project Server 2007

Hi,
I'm trying to close tasks to update for a project manager and they have
tasks linked between two projects. I'm receiving the following error message;
The errors returned from the queue are as follows:
Error ID: 26000, <error id="7038".
I googled the error message and received this description,
TaskCannotEditExternal = 7038, which I'm assuming is related to the cross
dependencies between the two projects. Does anyone know how I can close these
projects for this pm?
